The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors has hired Jill Edwards to be director of federal relations.
Edwards previously worked for 3 years on the federal lobbying staff of the American Council of Life Insurers, Washington.
Edwards also has worked on the federal lobbying team at Aflac Inc., Columbus, Ga., and as a staff aide to Sen. John Breaux, D-La.
At the ACLI, Edwards specialized on issues before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee and U.S. Senate Banking Committee.
Edwards, a native of Shreveport, La., has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University.
