Concentra Inc. says its network services unit will be selling a new version of a provider payment program developed by a newly acquired company, Beech Street Corp.

The network services unit, based in Naperville, Ill., will be introducing a new version of Beech Street’s Accelerated Payment program, which gives participating health insurers a chance to receive in-network discounts from providers in exchange for agreeing to pay the providers within 45 days. The participating insurers also agree to make interest payments until they pay the claims, according to Concentra, Addison, Texas.

Beech Street, one of the country’s biggest independent provider networks, has enrolled 300,000 doctors, hospitals and ancillary providers in its version of the payment program.
