The life practice council at the American Academy of Actuaries has scheduled a free, 1-hour regulatory reform Web conference to start at noon Thursday.
Speakers will talk about efforts to shift away from use of static formulas for life insurance company reserves and risk-based capital levels, toward use of flexible “principles-based” methods for setting appropriate reserve and RBC levels, according to the AAA, Washington.
Scheduled speakers include Donna Claire, Dave Neve, Tom Campbell and Larry Gorski.
