The consulting arm of Aon Corp. is promoting Susan Alford to executive vice president and head of its Southeast region.[@@]

Alford, who has been the head of the Chicago firm’s Atlanta office and leader of the firm’s national defined contribution retirement plan practice, now will be responsible for managing and adding accounts in a region that includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

In other personnel news, The Vasquez Group, Gurnee, Ill., has promoted Sean Fogarty to vice president of U.S. sales and marketing at its VMC Behavioral Healthcare Services unit.

The VMC unit sells employee assistance plan, work-life and wellness services.

Fogarty has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in marketing from Texas Christian University.
