The Minneapolis arm of ING Groep N.V. is making a big push to sell more term life through independent producers.[@@]

The company is updating its pricing and has introduced a new, producer-oriented advertising campaign in an effort to leap to the front of the pack, according to ING, Amsterdam.

ING’s new ads will feature individual customers and brokers who are smiling about ING term products, the company says.

The ads will run this fall at financial services conferences and in trade publications, ING says.

ING issues the ING TermSmart products through ReliaStar Life Insurance Company and the ING TermSmart*NY, products through ReliaStar Life Insurance Company of New York.
