Aetna Inc. is kicking off a big national advertising campaign to promote its recent expansion in the Medicare market.[@@]

Aetna, Hartford, will be using television ads, print ads, direct mail advertising, relationships with drug stores, seminars for financial planners, brochures for insurance agents, and other vehicles to talk about its new Medicare Part D prescription drug plans and its Medicare Advantage managed care plans.

Aetna will be providing drug plan coverage in all 50 states and the District of Columbia in 2006, and it will be providing Medicare managed care coverage in 13 states and the District of Columbia.
