Pru Promotes Actuary

Prudential Financial Inc. has promoted its chief actuary, Helen M. Galt.[@@]

The company’s board named Galt to the position of senior vice president at Prudential, Newark, N.J.

She has been the company’s actuary since April 1993, reporting to vice chairman Mark Grier. In addition to overseeing actuarial functions, she is responsible for a variety of product risk management and enterprise insurance programs at Prudential.
