Eec Lauds Industry Support For Hurricane Relief

A Louisiana insurance executive reports more than 5,800 e-mail responses to her appeal for help with hurricane relief efforts.[@@]

Robelynn H. Abadie, head of Abadie Financial Services, Baton Rouge, says she also received well over a ton of shipped relief items and many cash donations in response to an article about her efforts published on the National Underwriter Web site Sept. 8.

Donations were given to local charities and to the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation’s Matching Katrina Relief program, Abadie says.
