Assurant Inc. has hired Ronny Lancaster to be senior vice president for federal government relations.[@@]
Lancaster previously was chief operating officer at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta.
Lancaster also has served as principal deputy assistant secretary for planning and evaluation in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Lancaster has a bachelor's degree in economics from Catholic University of America, a master's degree in business from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Georgetown University.
Lancaster is a past president of the Association of Minority Health Professions Schools, Atlanta. He now serves on the board of the Morehouse Research Institute at Morehouse College.
