Humana Inc. has introduced the Broker BUDdy system, a Web-based system for analyzing health plans at employers with 5 to 50 employees.[@@]
The system, formally dubbed the Benefit Utilization Director system, can help Humana health insurance brokers show clients what sorts of claims employees are filing and what is happening with employees’ deductibles and out-of-pocket payment limits, according to Humana, Louisville, Ky.
To protect employees’ privacy rights, the system strips out data that could identify individual employees, Humana says.
Another component of the system can show employers how changes in contribution strategies might affect premiums, Humana says.
