Aflac Inc. has announced the resignation of the president of a major division based in Japan.[@@]

Allan O’Bryant resigned as president of Aflac International, where he had oversight responsibility for Aflac Payment Service, Aflac Insurance Service and aflacdirect.com.

O’Bryant joined Aflac, Columbus, Ga., in 1993 and has spent the last 9 years in Japan. He says he is returning to the United States to start a private equity firm devoted to investments in emerging growth companies.
