Clark Inc. is streamlining its operations.[@@[

Clark, Barrington, Ill., hopes to combine its executive benefits, banking and insurance consulting practices into a single unit by the end of the year, the company says.

Les Brockhurst, president of the executive benefits practice, will lead the new combined practice, and the new unit will appear as a single reporting segment in Clark’s financial statements starting in 2006, Clark says.

Clark executives hinted at streamlining plans earlier a few weeks ago, when they announced the company’s second-quarter earnings.
