Louis Briskman is leaving his job as general counsel of Aetna Inc. to become general counsel of CBS Corp.[@@]

Briskman came to Aetna, Hartford, from CBS in April 2004, while CBS was still firmly embedded in the media empire controlled by Viacom Inc., New York.

Now, Viacom is spinning CBS off as a separate company, and Briskman is heading back to CBS, Aetna says.

Aetna is naming William Casazza, the company’s deputy general counsel, to succeed Briskman as general counsel.

Casazza has a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, a master’s degree in business from the University of Notre Dame, and a law degree from Cornell University. He holds the Certified Public Accountant professional designation.
