The California managed care unit of Health Net Inc. is introducing a family of health plans aimed at employers with at least 50 employees.[@@]
Health Net, Woodland Hills, Calif., is adding 4 high-deductible plans that are compatible with the new health savings accounts and a choice of 8 provider networks. One of the networks focuses on serving Latino patients.
To keep costs down, Health Net is basing the plans on standardized benefit structures, but the company is trying to allow room for flexibility by giving employers choices about deductibles, office visit co-payments, coinsurance rates and hospital benefits.
Health Net also is marketing an optional health coaching program and an optional employee assistance program.
