Assurant Inc. has promoted Melissa Hall to senior vice president, from vice president.[@@]
Hall will succeed Barbara Hege, who is retiring in January 2006, according to Assurant, New York.

For the rest of the year, Hege will work on special projects and advise Hall, Assurant says.
Hall has a bachelor's degree in accounting from George Washington University and a master's degree in taxation from Fordham University.
