UICI has hired Michael Colliflower to be senior vice president and general counsel for insurance operations.[@@]
Colliflower previously was chief insurance counsel for the insurance subsidiaries of Universal American Financial Corp., Rye Brook, N.Y., a company that sells insurance products to older consumers.
Colliflower was chairman of the compliance section at the American Council of Life Insurers from 1998 to 1999, according to UICI, North Richland Hills, Texas.
Colliflower has a bachelor’s degree in business from St. John Fisher College and a law degree from Wake Forest University.
