Group Health Inc. has named Dr. Aran Ron executive vice president of the company and president of its health maintenance organization unit.[@@]
GHI, New York, provides or administers health coverage for 2.6 million people.
Ron, who joined the company in 1998, has been GHI’s chief medical officer.
Ron is chair of the accreditation committee at URAC, Washington. He has a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and master’s degrees in business and public health from Columbia University. He is board certified in internal medicine.
