Humana Inc. says it will be working with Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Bentonville, Ark., to promote the new Medicare prescription drug plan.[@@]
Humana, Louisville, will be putting representatives in all 3,600 Wal-Mart discount stores, wholesale club stores and neighborhood market stores to explain the new program from July 18 to July 24.
Representatives from the Social Security Administration also will participate in the educational effort.
Humana representatives also will appear in some Wal-Mart stores starting in August.
In related news, Humana says it will be adding 2 Medicare fee-for-service plans in New Mexico.
Aetna Inc., Hartford, says it will be offering a menu of 3 Medicare health maintenance organization plans in DeKalb County, Ga. One of the plans will be a “zero premium” plan, the company says.
