Ceridian Corp. will be using a financial transaction network from SunGard Data Systems Inc. to help retirement plan members buy and sell mutual fund shares.[@@]

Ceridian, Minneapolis, a human resources services firm, says the agreement with SunGard, Wayne, Pa., will help it combine its existing retirement plan recordkeeping system with a system that can route and execute retirement plan mutual fund trades.

The network will link plan participants to more than 300 fund companies, and it also can help ease trading for plan members who are using self-directed brokerage accounts, Ceridian says.

Ceridian hopes to introduce the new SunGard trading services by Sept. 30.
