An arm of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners has recognized the passing of Kenneth Black, an insurance professor at Georgia State University who died March 7.[@@]

The NAIC’s Life & Annuities “A” Committee read a description of Black’s accomplishments into its minutes at the Kansas City, Mo., group’s recent summer meeting in Boston.

Black, born in 1925, wrote textbooks on life insurance and other topics and helped build Georgia State’s Department of Risk Management and Insurance.
