Humana Inc. has won a third patient appointing services contract from the U.S. Department of Defense.[@@]

Humana, Louisville, Ky., says its military services subsidiary will be arranging medical appointments for TriCare military health program members who are affiliated with Keesler Air Force Base, in Biloxi, Miss.

The Humana subsidiary already has contracts to arrange for appointments for TriCare members served by Womack Army Medical Center, in Fort Bragg, N.C., and the 74th Medical Group at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton, Ohio.

The new contract will take effect July 1 and last about 6 years.

The new contract and the other 2 appointment services contracts will generate a total of about $2 million in revenue per year, Humana estimates.
