MassMutual Unveils Guaranteed Issue Supplemental Disability

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has introduced a supplemental individual disability insurance policy designed for sale at the worksite.[@@]

MassMutual, Springfield, Mass., says its new MaxElect policy may, in some cases, be available on a guaranteed standard issue basis for employers with as few as 10 participating employees.

Employees can combine the supplemental coverage with employer-sponsored group long-term disability coverage, and features include long term care insurance credits, an optional retirement plan contribution protection rider and an optional catastrophic disability benefit rider.
