The National Association for Business Resources is promoting a national health savings account program.[@@]

NABR, Warren, Mich., says a unit of Assurant Inc., New York, will be running the new NABR Health Benefits Program.

The program will offer small business owners who join NABR access to a preferred provider organization and a prescription drug discount card as well as high-deductible, HSA-compatible health coverage, according to Jennifer Kluge, NABR’s founding president.

Kluge also helps run 2 other associations with headquarters in Warren, the Michigan Business and Professional Association and and the Michigan Food and Beverage Association.

Kluge and her father, Ed Deeb, are starting a national business group to capitalize on the success they have had with organizing the 2 Michigan associations, according to a recent report in the Detroit Free Press.
