Carolyn Kaufman began her career in the financial planning world in 1978 and received her CFP designation a year later. In 1984 she established her own firm–Kaufman & Company–which primarily helped women–specifically, teachers and widows–with their financial planning needs. In 1999, she joined Prim Capital. Kaufman has taught accounting, taxation, and finance at two different universities and is currently an adjunct faculty member of Baldwin Wallace College. She is a CPA specializing in estate planning, is active in professional associations on the national level, and serves on the boards of several community organizations.
