CIGNA Scoops Up 4 Definity Veterans

CIGNA HealthCare has hired a group of “consumer-driven health care” pioneers away from UnitedHealth Group Inc.[@@]

The executives previously worked for Definity Health Corp., Minneapolis, an account-based health plan specialist that UnitedHealth, Minnetonka, Minn., acquired in December 2004.

CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., has given each of the Definity alumni — Mark Bailey, Rodger Kemp, Bill Reindl and Linda Schulte ? the title of vice president of sales.

Bailey, Reindl and Schulte were regional sales executives at Definity. Bailey will be based in Dallas, Reindl in Philadelphia and Schulte in Atlanta.

Kemp, who led sales recruiting and training efforts at Definity, will be based in Minneapolis.

CIGNA HealthCare is a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia.
