The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has joined forces with Protective Life Corp., Birmingham, Ala., to form a new online quote service.[@@]
The 2 companies have formed Life Alliance L.L.C., to provide online help to broker-dealers, banks and other distributors selling term life insurance.
Life Alliance’s Web platform, called Insurance Online Network, aims to make it easier and quicker for financial professionals to give clients quotes from multiple carriers on term life insurance. ION also provides links to the quoting insurance companies.
ION will be a free service available through several broker-dealers and banks, Hartford says.
