A North Richland Hills, Texas, specialty health insurer has announced 3 personnel changes.[@@]
The insurer, UICI, has hired James Messina to be president of its administrative group, Edward Zecchini to be chief information officer and Derrick Duke to be chief investment officer.
Messina and Zecchini both worked for HealthMarket Inc., Norwalk, Conn., a pioneer in the consumer-driven health plan market that UICI acquired in October 2004.
Messina was the president of HealthMarket and Zecchini was the chief technology officer at HealthMarket. Duke has been working as an investment analyst for years.
