Protective Life Insurance Company has started taking orders for its annuities online.[@@]

The company, a unit of Protective Life Corp., Birmingham, Ala., says it has added both its fixed and variable annuities to its Web-based LifeWire price quote and order-entry system.

The system already has been taking orders for term life, universal life, variable life and variable universal life coverage.
