Weiss Ratings Inc., Jupiter, Fla., has hired Rudolph Martin to be director of research.[@@]
Martin, who previously was director of Internet technology at Lawyers Weekly in Boston, worked as a senior investment analyst at Fidelity Investments, Boston, from 1995 to 1997. Martin has a master’s degree in finance from Northwestern University and also holds the Chartered Life Underwriter professional designation.
Martin will oversee Weiss stock and bank credit research as well as its insurance rating research, Weiss says.
In related news, Weiss says it will be opening offices in Boston and New York in an effort to increase sales to institutional investors.
