A large Toledo, Ohio, insurance agency is acquiring an Ann Arbor, Mich., agency.[@@]

The Ohio agency, Hylant Group Inc., says its Ann Arbor offshoot has merged with the Michigan agency, Dobson-McOmber Agency.

John Hindle, an owner of Hylant of Ann Arbor, and Steve Dobson, owner of Dobson-McOmber, both will have stakes in Hylant of Ann Arbor, Hylant says.

Hylant, a 70-year-old agency, sells 401(k) plan services and financial services as well as property-casualty insurance and services.

Dobson-McOmber sells life and health insurance along with property-casualty services. That agency is more than 100 years old.
