America’s Health Insurance Plans, Washington, says it wants to work closely with a foundation that honors the memory of a beloved film star.[@@]
AHIP says it hopes to form an “innovative relationship” with the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation.
AHIP has invited Dana Reeve, an actor who is the widow of Christopher Reeve and chairman of the Reeve foundation, to speak March 8 at the annual AHIP policy conference.
Reeve will talk about the lessons she has learned about caregiving and health policy from the years she spent after her husband was injured.
AHIP and the Reeve foundation will join March 7 to hold a health policy briefing for members of Congress.
