A Hartford insurer will be working with a top dental school to improve its dental Web site and strengthen relationships with dentists.[@@]

The insurer, Aetna Inc., says its dental business will be working with the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery to add features such as an “Ask the Dentist” feature to its dental health information Web site, at http://www.dental.intelihealth.com

Columbia researchers also will help Aetna show how expenditures on dental care affect overall health outcomes, and the researchers will help Aetna develop continuing education courses for the dentists in Aetna’s dental networks, Aetna says.
