A Hartford health insurer wants to do more business through a Web distributor.[@@]

The distributor, BenefitPoint Inc., San Francisco, says Aetna Inc. now has a “preferred vendor” relationship for its dental unit on the BenefitPoint Aptus sales system.

The deal means that the Aetna dental unit will be able to give brokers direct price quotes and product support assistance through the Aptus system, BenefitPoint says.

BenefitPoint says it serves about 400 broker offices.
