A Web services company is trying to help workers who have personal health accounts do a better job of estimating out-of-pocket health care expenditures.[@@]
The company, Subimo L.L.C., Chicago, has added employee account contribution and tax rate input features to its Web-based Coverage Advisor system.
Health plan members can feed information about their age, health problems and prescription drug use into the system and get projections of their annual health care expenditures.
The new tools help plan members determine the tax implications of using health savings accounts, health reimbursement arrangements and other personal health accounts along with conventional health insurance or HSA-compatible health insurance.
