The developers of the BeneTrac benefits system have introduced a new compliance tool.[@@]

The BeneTrac company, officially known as Hawthorne Benefit Technologies Inc., San Diego, has started selling COBRA Factory, a product that can help human resources managers who use its BeneTrac benefits administration software comply with the notification and billing provisions of the federal COBRA health benefits continuation requirements.

The system automatically feeds employee and company information into the notice forms, Hawthorne says.

Hawthorne is charging $75 per month for the new system for businesses with up to 500 employees.
