A Newport Beach, Calif., insurer has announced its philanthropic priorities for the year.[@@]
The Pacific Life Foundation, a charity affiliated with Pacific Life Insurance Company, Newport Beach, Calif., says it will be distributing $3.3 million in grants.
The foundation already has given $1 million to UNICEF to support the South Asia tsunami relief effort, and it will be giving $366,000 to Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County, a pediatric dental center that serves uninsured children from poor families.
