Quality Care Solutions Inc., Phoenix, has agreed to buy a consumer-driven health plan pioneer.[@@]

QCSI, an 11-year-old company that develops health insurance company administration, has signed a letter of intent to acquire MyHealthBank Inc., Portland, Ore.

MyHealthBank develops the Web-based systems that employers and health plan members need to manage health plans that incorporate health reimbursement arrangements, health savings accounts and other personal benefit accounts.

The deal could help make QCSI a supplier of “end-to-end” systems for account-based health plan programs, according to QCSI Chief Executive Dave Engert.
