A Spokane, Wash. business association is offering limited health and life benefits to employees of local small businesses through Symetra Life Insurance Co.

Symetra, in Redmond, Wash., says member companies of the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce will offer the policy to more than 100,000 of their employees and family members for as little as $18.74 per family, per month.

The product, Select Benefits, provides coverage for such services as doctor’s office visits, X-rays and hospital stays. It is available to businesses with 2 or more eligible employees.

There are no preexisting condition limitations, no required networks and no requirements for proof of good health, except for late entrants, according to Symetra, which recently changed its name from Safeco Life and Investments.
