The member benefits program at the Florida Bar Association, Jacksonville, Fla., has picked a dental carrier.[@@]
The association will be offering voluntary dental coverage from Delta Dental Insurance Company, San Francisco, for member lawyers, members’ dependents, members’ employees, and the dependents of members’ employees.
About 200,000 Florida residents will be eligible for the plan, the association estimates.
The association negotiated a plan that requires no waiting period for major services.
Another key feature is a phase-in of higher benefit levels over 3 years.
The plan covers 80% of the cost of diagnostic and preventive care for members enrolled less than 1 year, and it covers 100% of the cost of those services during the third year that the coverage is in effect, according to Delta Dental.
