An Oakland, Calif., benefits administrator has hired Healthaxis Inc., Irving, Texas, to handle its health claims.[@@]

The administrator, CBCA Inc., manages plans with 1 million members and $1 billion in annual claims volume.

Healthaxis will be responsible for receiving claims for CBCA, scanning the claims, storing the claims and performing some clearinghouse services.
