Bankers Life Names Underwriting VP

A subsidiary of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., has hired Michael Plazony.[@@]

The subsidiary, Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, says Plazony will be vice president of underwriting.

Plazony, who previously worked for Caremark Inc., Birmingham, Ala., has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University.
