Former Treasury Department Economist Joins Insurer

Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., has hired Christine Marcks to be a senior vice president in its retirement unit.[@@]

Marcks also will be head of the retirement unit’s retail/rollover capture business segment.

Marcks previously was head of the rollover capture program at a U.S. unit of ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam. Earlier in her career, she was an international economist with the U.S. Treasury Department.

Marcks has a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from Assumption College and a master’s degree in economics from Georgetown University.
