A company that runs government health programs has completed a previously announced acquisition of a large manager of Big Apple health programs.[@@]
The government health program company, AmeriGroup Corp., completed the acquisition of CarePlus Health Plan, New York, Saturday.
CarePlus generates about $200 million in annual revenue from administering health coverage for 115,000 Medicaid, children’s health and family health programs in the New York City area.
AmeriGroup now administers health coverage for 1 million U.S. residents.
