California groups have developed a new, Web-based professional certification program for benefits managers.[@@]

The Disability Management Employer Coalition, San Diego, and the Insurance Educational Association, San Francisco, have introduced the Certified Case Management Professional designation.

To earn the CCMP designation, students must take Web-based courses on disability management, workers’ compensation principles, medical and legal issues associated with case file management, and leading practices in medical case management.
