A Phoenix health insurance software company is forming an alliance with one of the survivors of the dot-com era.[@@]

Eldorado Computing Inc. has signed a 3-year agreement with the business services unit at WebMD Corp., Elmwood Park, N.J.

The agreement will give 130 health insurers that use Eldorado software access to WebMD data communications services and the WebMD clearinghouse network.

WebMD sells services that can route health claims to the right place and convert claims into the standard format required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.

WebMD’s clearinghouse network can connect insurers with more than 300,000 doctors, labs, clinics and hospitals.
