A Chattanooga, Tenn., insurer has unveiled a new group long term care insurance plan.[@@]

UnumProvident Corp. will start selling the new Group Long Term Care Advantage plan in January 2005.

Employers can choose between a reimbursement benefits option and an indemnity benefits option.

Other features in the new group LTC insurance plan include a $5,000 benefit that can be used immediately, even during the elimination period, and an international benefit payment feature.

UnumProvident is issuing the policy through a Portland, Maine, subsidiary, Unum Life Insurance Company of America.
