Royal Bank of Canada has changed the top executive at a U.S. insurance unit.[@@]
R. David Black has succeeded Harold W. Huffstetler Jr. as president and chief executive officer of Liberty Life Insurance Company, Greenville, S.C.
Huffstetler left Liberty Life to be president of AAA Life Insurance Company, Livonia, Mich.
Black previously was general counsel at Liberty Life, which is a unit of Royal Bank of Canada’s RBC Insurance unit.
Black has been working at Liberty Life and Liberty Life affiliates since 1982. He has a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and a law degree from the University of South Carolina.
