New York Life Insurance Company is participating in a financial planning workshop series aimed mainly at African-American small business owners.[@@]
Organizers of the Building Wealth Tour held the first planning workshop today in Arlington, Va. More workshops are scheduled for Chicago, Los Angeles and other cities.
Workshop speakers will cover topics such as key-person insurance coverage, buy-sell funding, business succession planning, retirement planning and estate planning.
Speakers also will talk about strategies for reaching financial independence.
New York Life joined to develop the workshop series with the National Black Chamber of Commerce, Washington, and Lord Abbett & Company L.L.C., Jersey City, N.J., a money management firm.
