A 99-year-old life insurer is changing its name.[@@]
JPMorgan Chase & Company, New York, says it will be rechristening Kemper Life as Chase Insurance.
Chase Insurance sells annuities, term life insurance and universal life insurance.
Chase Insurance, which will continue to distribute its products through the same banks, direct sales operations and independent agents, includes 5 major insurance company affiliates: Chase Insurance Life and Annuity Company; Chase Insurance Life Company; Chase Insurance Life Company of New York; Chase Life and Annuity Company; and Chase Life and Annuity Company of New York.
The company now known as Chase Insurance began doing business in 1905 as part of the Kemper Life Companies. JPMorgan acquired the insurance company through a merger with Bank One Corp., Chicago, in July.
