Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Minneapolis, has named Randall Boushek chief financial officer.[@@]

Boushek, Thrivent’s treasurer, is replacing the previous CFO, Lawrence Stranghoener.

Thrivent lost Stranghoener in September, when The Mosaic Company, Minneapolis, a new, $4.7 billion fertilizer company, picked Stranghoener to be its first CFO.

Thrivent is a fraternal benefit society that serves Lutherans.

Boushek began working for Thrivent in 1981 as an associate actuary. Before he became the company’s treasurer, he served as a portfolio manager and chief investment officer.

Boushek has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Concordia College. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Schaumburg, Ill.
